Alcoholic Cocktail and Aperitif

Cocktail is a name to indicate any beverage obtained by mixing other drinks, usually it contains two or more ingredients, and if one of them contains alcohol we are talking about alcoholic cocktail.
The distilled beverages used for alcoholic cocktail usually are whiskey, rum, gin, brandy, vodka, tequila mixed with non-alcoholic beverages, mostly fruit juice, but also syrups, soft drink, soda, vegetable juice , milk, water, coffee.
Additional ingredients may be sugar, sauce, honey, cream, fruit, spices and other flavorings.

Aperitif is, usually, an alcoholic and dry, rather than sweet, drink served before a meal as an appetizer to stimulate the appetite without overwhelming the senses.
