Herbal Teas or tisane are made by using both hard and soft parts of plants and allowed them to steep around 5 minutes in boiling water, anyway just long enough to get the aroma, flavour and oil of the herb to add color and taste the water.
Infusion is made from tender and lightweight plant parties such as flowers, leaves and fruits on which it is poured boiling water and then filtering the liquid after 5-10 minutes.
For the decoction we use the more resistant and hard parts, such us bark, roots, medicinal mushrooms, and hard seeds, which are put in cold water and leave to boil for 5-10 minutes. After the boiling time we allowed them to steep for another 10 minutes and then are filtered.
