They are also rich in oils and special resins, which justify their use as medicinal plants.
They belong to the family, referring to herbaceous species, soybean, lupine, fava beans, bean, lentil, clover, pea, peanut, bean, chickpea; and referring to tree species, black locust, tree of Judah and the carob tree.
Pulses, beans, and lentils have a long life and can be stored in an airtight vase or vacuum compressed bag in a cool, dark and dry place for many months. However, they tend to become harder with prolonged storage and age and may require much longer cooking to achieve tender results.
