All crustaceans have a hard external skeletons, which protects them from predators and prevents water loss.
They have two pairs of maxillae on their heads and antennae, and a pair of compound eyes, mandibles, and appendages on each body segment.
Crustaceans are important as a source of food to humans.
Crustaceans include commonly-known marine life such as lobsters, crabs, crayfish, shrimp, barnacles and prawn.
