Meat Fish

Meat Fish

Meat, fish and eggs, are important sources of high-quality protein, minerals, B vitamins and essential fatty acids.

These foods, which are all derived from animals, are the richest sources of complete protein in the diet.

Certain amino acids, organic compounds that combine to form proteins, cannot be produced by the human body, so we need to receive these "essential" organic compounds from the food we eat.

Anyway also plant foods contain protein also if we need to eat huge quantities of plant foods to get the same amount of protein that is contained in a portion of meat, fish or egg.

So, sometime young children and infants just don’t have the capacity to eat satisfactory plant foods protein, they could need some animal protein, such as milk, eggs, cheese, meat or fish.

Meat, egg yolk, and fish are the fullest sources of bio available iron in the diet and also contain other relevant minerals such as zinc and phosphorus that helps to keep the immune and nervous systems healthy.

The main vitamin present on these food is the B vitamin, and in particular the B12 that is important to prevent anemia.

Also essential fatty acids are nutrients that we have to obtain from dietary sources and they are important to ensure normal development of the brain and the nervous system, especially omega-3 fatty acids.
